Hypnotherapy?

Your beliefs affect the outcome of every interaction with other people and even inanimate objects.   Hypnotherapy works to help you with limiting beliefs.

Stress is drastically affected by your beliefs.   Stress is necessary for performance  yet negative stress or “distress” affects us all,  generally negatively.   Many people cope with unsustainable levels of stress for long periods and eventually may find themselves in the midst of issues including Intrusive thoughts, Depression and Anxiety. Prolonged stress may start to affect your health. It can affect your immune response and cause high blood pressure. You or your spouse may go on for years with repetitive habits and behaviours they would rather not have.  Examples; working around phobias, drinking, smoking or eating too much (or using other substances).    Hypnotherapy often works rapidly by addressing Stress and then starting to work on deeper seated issues.

Sometimes you may rationalise that this is your personality – but it isn’t, it is behaviour and pretty much any behaviour can be changed. Before I was a hypnotherapist I came across someone who could only ever turn left – some of his journeys added 50 miles.  It is not uncommon for you to have gone on for years with your issues, wanting to stop or change your behaviour.   Behaviour tends to be steered by your beliefs.  If you want to change your behaviour you need also to change your beliefs.  This is one of the core principles of hypnotherapy.

Hypnotherapy is a gentle effective process to help you achieve this change.  Smokers trying to quit will often try everything else before trying hypnotherapy and then wondered why they even resisted it. You probably know someone who used Hypnosis to stop smoking? Hypnotherapy can be used for all sorts of things.

Much of what we experience in our lives is very much affected by our imagination.   Sometimes if we imagine limitations it can become part of our beliefs.  Hypnotherapy harnesses the power of your imagination.

Some things are so embedded in our subconscious minds that it is difficult to challenge our deeply held beliefs and habits.  The answer usually lies in changing your perception.   This is essentially how much hypnotherapy works.

I love helping people improve the quality of their lives in Liverpool City Centre and South Liverpool (L1, L3, L17), The Wirral, Southport, Widnes, St Helens, Warrington, Merseyside and Lancashire.

I am an experienced , professionally trained hypnotherapist (Therapy using Hypnosis) together we can potentially help you achieve huge life changes. My clients have included psychologists and people who have already undergone other forms of treatment but still didn’t achieve the changes they were looking for. I am a fully qualified professionally trained clinical hypnotherapist registered with the GHR (General Hypnotherapy Register). I use differing techniques including, NLP (Neuro Linguistic programming), EFT, hypno-analysis and regression in my Liverpool Hypnotherapy practice.

I always encourage clients to call one or two Hypnotherapists’.   Take a look to see if your prospective Therapist has a reasonably professional website.  Is it updated regularly?  Do they blog and have a social media presence – does it look like they write this themselves or get an agency to do it for them?   If not is your hypnotherapist really in touch with the latest trends and techniques?  Can you find your therapist on professional directories? Does your Hypnotherapist write articles?   Is you hypnotherapist fully trained and accredited?  Trained therapists in hypnotherapy will generally be a full member of the GHR or something similar.  Therapy using hypnosis is hypnotherapy.  A stage hypnotist doing therapeutic work is not necessarily trained as a hypnotherapist.  For that reason All hypnotherapy IS hypnosis but not all hypnosis is hypnotherapy.

I have seen Hypnotherapy clients to help them stop smoking, lose weight, manage stress, manage anxiety, manage depression, overcome various different phobias – flying – spiders – lifts – heights – vegetables! I have helped others become more confident, massively reduce their drinking, manage their anger, overcome sugar addiction, stop biting their nails, stop having panic attacks, prepare for driving tests, become confident at interviews, chair meetings and give speeches. I have helped clients manage pain and discomfort ranging from – chronic pain, fibromyalgia and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).

Using Hypnosis to change perception, I help people manage their tinnitus, perform at sports, sleep better, overcome sexual problems, overcome eating disorders, enjoy their job more, overcome trauma, overcome post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The above is by no means an exhaustive list of all the interesting aspects of life that we can tackle using Hypnotherapy. As I help more and more clients and successfully help them with their issues the list grows ever longer.

My own life has been full of change and personal growth continues. I have adapted and grown better by understanding what makes me tick. I have a strong interest in psychology, personal change, personal growth, Life Coaching and have read hundreds of books and articles. This knowledge has shaped the hypnotherapy that I offer and I combine different techniques and knowledge. This is a process that is constantly being updated. I learn from interacting with clients and from other hypnotherapists. I attend monthly meetings with my fellow hypnotherapists from Liverpool and the Wirral.

I have experienced a lot of personal challenges and believe that these help make me a better therapist. It helps me be more in tune with my clients. When selecting your hypnotherapist, find someone that you feel you can establish a good rapport with. This is absolutely and critically important. If you talk to a hypnotherapist and you don’t feel like you can work with them then talk to another.

I regularly experience and use hypnotherapy myself as well as self-hypnosis and I am committed to helping people achieve lasting positive change in their lives. Virtually everyone can become less stressed, more relaxed and more healthy – both physically and mentally. I have experienced many of the things that you would visit a hypnotherapist to receive therapy for.

You are bound to have questions – it’s always good to have a friendly chat first without obligation. Sometimes people are not ready to benefit from Hypnotherapy – this is quickly established.   You are under no obligation by calling me.

If you have questions, I will answer all enquiries as soon as I can. I generally answer people quickly the same day. (Often within 2 hours)

If you are wondering if Hypnotherapy could help you then the best thing to do is ask me directly by phone, Skype or email and ask how I would tackle your issues. I like a new challenge and normally manage to help people. I also give a money back guarantee. If you are not entirely satisfied – I would rather you didn’t pay than go away dissatisfied. I am always interested in client feedback and encourage clients to write reviews on this site. I have an excellent track record and some great reviews.   Please take a look at my review page.   (ollin.co.uk/reviews/)
